Day Care ProgramsLess is more. Children have a lot going on in their minds, without the clutter of today’s sensory landscape. The bombardment of media-rich marketing messages not only burdens developing minds with overstimulation of the senses but teaches toddlers materialism and passive behaviour at their most sensitive developmental stages. At Bilingual Daycare, I believe in stimulation through exploration. I provide children the opportunity to create their own environments through constructive play and activities, through crafts, music-making, gardening, cooking, storytelling and plenty of romp time. My open-ended learning tools include manipulative materials such as blocks, puzzles, books, clay, gardening kits, a wealth of art supplies and a lot more. Allon children have a schedule and specific activities. Intention for our programs
Our programs are creative play-based, designed to spark children’s creativity and learning through the hands-on discovery of the items they interact with. We focus on a safe, supportive environment at all times so children can focus their energies on inventive play and structured learning. Children are connected with the natural world through their explorations indoors and outdoors and through their use of natural materials in many open-ended activities. We use toys and other items that provide a sense of connecting to natural materials and being in charge of something real to inspire children’s natural curiosity and connection to what they are surrounded by. We blend materials with activities that support children’s cultural backgrounds and home languages to help them build a strong cultural identity as well as encourage cross-cultural sharing and learning. Food
We provide two snacks and a lunch each day. We use only fresh ingredients to create delicious foods with love that encouraged children to explore tasty and nutritious foods so they can find joy in healthy eating.
